On Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1:11 P.M., Lexington Police responded to the parking lot of the Woodhill Food Mart, 2350 Woodhill Dr., in reference to a shooting. Officers located the 20 year-old victim, Jaquis Ray, in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Mr. Ray was transported to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. Homicide detectives located surveillance video of the suspect, CAELAN GILLS, firing shots at the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect then immediately fled from the scene in a vehicle. On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, surveillance video of the incident was released to the media and with the assistance of the public, the suspect was identified. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined the victim and suspect knew each other. Investigators are again asking for the public’s assistance to locate Mr. Gills, who is wanted for MURDER. He is considered Armed and Dangerous.

The Lexington Police Department is searching for Anthony S. Horn. He currently has two outstanding warrants. One is for Strangulation 2nd and the other is for Assault 4th Degree-minor injury.

Numerous agencies across central Kentucky are looking for DWAYNE M WINFIELD. He has a total of six outstanding felony warrants. He has two warrants in Fayette County, one in Jefferson, one in Jessamine, one in Montgomery and one Parole Violation warrant. All of these are related to the felony charges of Theft by Deception $500 - $10,000. He also has three summons in Jefferson County. Two are for the felony charges of Theft by Deception $500 - $10,000 and one is for Theft of Identity. Lexington Detectives advised he is linked to over $31,000 in fraud in the last 30 days.

Authorities with the Lexington Police Department and Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office are looking for Herbert Jones. He has a warrant out of Fayette County for Knowingly Exploit an Adult by Person over $300. He also has seven warrants out of Bourbon County all for Failure to Appear. All of those warrants are related to multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd, and Contempt of Court among other charges.

The Lexington Police Department is looking for ANTHONY RUSSELL. He has one outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on charges related to Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd-Methamphetamine, and Persistent Felony Offender.

Lexington Police along with other agencies around the state are looking for Cleveland Jones. He has a warrant out of Clark County for Robbery 1st. This charge stems from a robbery at a gas station in Clark County last month.

Lexington Police are searching for a 23-year-old woman who escaped custody. On Monday, November 9, 2020, at approximately 1:30pm, Brandi Spears was arrested for public intoxication and multiple Scott County warrants. Based on her level of intoxication, Spears was transported to a local hospital where she eventually escaped through a back door in the room.

Spears then stole an unattended University of Kentucky Postal Truck in the parking lot, driving it back to her arrest location where she fled in her personal vehicle.

Once apprehended Spears will face additional charges of Escape 2nd, Pending charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking (Automobile), and Theft of Mail Matter. She also has an outstanding warrant in Scott County.
