Just before Christmas, a victim in Lexington mailed out dozens of cards to friends and familiy by placing them in the post office drop box located at Bluegrass Station on Lansdowne Drive. Several of the cards never made it to their destinations. This suspect was caught on camera using a gift card contained inside one of the stolen envelopes

JUST BEFORE 3AM, A MALE WHITE IN HIS 20S APPROACHED THE FOODLAND CONVENIENCE STORE CARRYING A LARGE ROCK AND HAVING A TSHIRT PULLED UP OVER HIS HEAD. HE SMASHED HIS WAY INTO THE BUSINESS AND STOLE SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS IN ROLLS OF QUARTERS AND LOTTERY TICKETS. HIS IMAGE WAS CAPTURED ON CAMERA.

Lexington Police are searching for any witnesses or clues into the whereabouts of thousands of dollars in stolen tools. During the months of November and December, 13 Apartment complex tool sheds on the city`s Southeast side were broken into. All of their power tools including saws, drills, water pumps, and electrical meters have been stolen. We believe the items may have been traded for drugs.

AT AROUND 2:30AM THIS SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT ON CAMERA GOING THROUGH THE VICTIM’S CAR AND STEALING AN IPAD VALUED AT OVER $1000. IT WAS ACTIVATED THE FOLLOWING DAY IN

JUST BEFORE 2AM, A MALE WHITE SUBJECT DESCRIBED AS 5’10” 250LBS WITH BROWN EYES APPROACHED THE BUSINESS ON FOOT FROM THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND CONFRONTED THE CLERK WHO WAS OUTSIDE ON HER BREAK. HE TOLD HER HE DID NOT WISH TO HARM HER AND ORDERED HER INSIDE. HE DEMANDED THE CASH FROM THE REGISTER. THE CLERK THOUGHT SHE HIT THE PANIC BUTTON BUT FAILED. THE SUSPECT ESCAPED THE AREA ON FOOT. AN OFFICER DRIVING BY STOPPED IN TO CHECK ON THE BUSINESS LESS THAN 10 MINUTES LATER AND WAS ADVISED OF THE ROBBERY.

THE MASTERSON STATION AREA HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING A HIGHER THAN

JUST AFTER 1PM, A SUBJECT WITH HIS FACE COVERED ENTERED THE BANK AND IMMEDIATELY WALKED BEHIND THE TELLER COUNTER AND BEGAN TAKING MONEY FROM THE CASH DRAWER. HE WAS ARMED WITH A TASER. HE DEMANDED THE TELLER OPEN AN ADDITIONAL DRAWER WITH MORE CASH AND THE TELLER COMPLIED. THE SUBJECT FLED THE AREA ON FOOT. HE IS SUSPECTED TO BE THE SAME SUSPECT FROM A ROBBERY AT CHASE BANK IN MAY OF THIS YEAR.


ON AUGUST 17, 2007 JUST AFTER 10PM, OFFICERS WERE CALLED TO A SHOOTING AT AN APARTMENT LOCATED 100 LAKESHORE DRIVE #138. UPON ARRIVAL, POLICE FOUND THE BODY OF JERMAINE HOWARD DECEASED FROM AN APPARENT GUNSHOT TO THE HEAD. HE WAS EXECUTED UPON ARRIVING HOME JUST AS HE OPENED HIS APARTMENT DOOR. EVEN AFTER 8 YEARS

AT 10:15PM AN ALARM SOUNDED AT BLUEGRASS HOME ENTERTAINMENT. WHEN POLICE RESPONDED THEY FOUND THE DOOR HAD BEEN SMASHED WITH A ROCK AND TWO LARGE FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS HAD BEEN STOLEN. THE COST OF DAMAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY $2000 AND THE LOSS OF MERCHANDISE WAS NEARLY $4000. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS BUSINESS HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO SINCE APRIL. IT IS BELIEVED THE SAME SUBJECT IS INVOLVED EACH TIME.

On 09/11/15 at 10:55am Officer Derrick Wallace was working off duty at the
Officer Wallace was alerted by a store employee that a subject had just stolen two cartons of cigarettes and fled the store. Officer Wallace pursued the suspect on foot to Dakota St but lost sight of him. Just then he heard someone yell “Go, go, go!” He looked up and saw an older model red four door Nissan Sentra pull out from the side of the roadway with the shoplifting suspect in the backseat. The car lunged forward, the officer drew his side arm, and the car stopped. The shoplifting suspect began to exit the car and Officer Wallace approached the side of the vehicle. The driver then suddenly took off again and struck Officer Wallace. He was spun around and the impact knocked the gun from his hand. He rolled down the side of the car and fell to the ground. Upon regaining his composure, he discovered his foot was broken. Unfortunately, he will require surgery.

IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF SEPTEMBER 22, THE BUSINESS OWNER OF SHELL LOCATED AT 176 WEST NEW CIRCLE ROAD ARRIVED TO START HIS DAY. HE DISCOVERED ONE OF THE LARGE PLATE GLASS WINDOWS OF HIS STORE WAS REMOVED AND SHATTERED. ONCE INSIDE, HE FOUND SOMEONE HAD STOLEN NEARLY 100 CARTONS OF CIGARETTES TOTALING ALMOST $3,500. DETECTIVES ARE LOOKING AT THE POSSIBILITY OTHER RECENT BURGLARIES MAY BE LINKED.
